We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD for a long-term placement with the potential for permanent employment. This role will be based in Wigan, UK, within a dynamic educational environment that values inclusivity and support for all learners. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD within the classroom setting. • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities to meet the diverse needs of students. • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected. • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop individualised learning plans and support strategies. • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders as required. Requirements: • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within an educational setting. • Sound knowledge and understanding of SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, with proven ability to implement appropriate support strategies. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers. • Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging behaviours and situations. • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with SEND would be advantageous.
