Axcis is looking for Teaching Assistants to support in one of our ‘outstanding’ schools in the Stockport area, supporting pupils aged 2 to 25 years old. In these active roles you will work on a one to one basis supporting the day to day learning of the pupils and providing any other support they may require through the day such as personal care, communication and leisure activities. Some students may present challenging behaviour, so similar experience is advantageous but not essential as training is provided, so all candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment. These are physically demanding roles with a requirement to keep up with the active students who may like to run, use our adapted bikes and go in the swimming pool, so if you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day and you share our values then we’d like to hear from you! You will need to be experienced supporting children or vulnerable adults, however not necessarily in a school environment.
