Job Title: Year 3 SEND Teacher
Year 3 SEND Teacher – Special School – High Needs – East London

Axcis are working with a well-regarded special school in East London who are seeking an experienced and compassionate Year 3 SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team. The school supports pupils with a range of complex and high needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and medical needs. With a Good Ofsted rating and a nurturing ethos, the school has a strong reputation for helping children achieve both academically and personally.
The school offers excellent facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces and adapted outdoor learning areas. It’s conveniently located close to public transport and offers staff parking on site.
In this role, you will be:
• Teaching a small Year 3 class of pupils with significant additional needs, supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants.
• Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
• Using a range of multisensory, visual and communication-based approaches to maximise engagement.
• Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff and parents to ensure consistency of care and progress.
• Fostering an environment that is structured, calm and encouraging for every learner.
What we’re looking for:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) and experience teaching children with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of autism, MLD/PMLD and communication strategies such as PECS or Makaton.
• Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
• A creative, patient and reflective approach, with a commitment to personalised education.
