The school supports pupils with a range of complex and high needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and medical needs. In this role, you will be: • Teaching a small Year 3 class of pupils with significant additional needs, supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants. • Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets. • Using a range of multisensory, visual and communication-based approaches to maximise engagement. • Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff and parents to ensure consistency of care and progress. • Fostering an environment that is structured, calm and encouraging for every learner. What we’re looking for: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) and experience teaching children with SEND. • Strong knowledge of autism, MLD/PMLD and communication strategies such as PECS or Makaton. • Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills. • A creative, patient and reflective approach, with a commitment to personalised education.
