Teaching Assistant – Team Teacch Qualified – Secondary – Barking & Dagenham From £94/day | Secondary | Barking & Dagenham | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are working with a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Barking & Dagenham who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with a Team Teacch qualification to join their SEND department. The school is well known for its strong pastoral care, supportive staff culture and restorative behaviour systems. Easily accessible via the District Line and with free staff parking, it’s a great fit for those commuting from across East London. In this role, you will be: • Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, both 1:1 and in small groups. • Using Team Teacch strategies to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour safely and professionally. • Assisting teachers with differentiated work and supporting engagement in core subjects. • Promoting emotional regulation, self-esteem and positive social interaction. What we’re looking for: • A valid Team Teacch certificate (or similar positive handling qualification). • Experience supporting students with SEMH or behaviour needs. • Calm, resilient personality and excellent communication skills. • A proactive, flexible approach to classroom support.
