Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Greenford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (until Christmas)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Greenford. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:00pm, with the role running until Christmas.
The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and prides itself on providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for both students and staff.
The successful candidate must have:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school.
Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils.
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum (AS), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), and challenging behaviour.
A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young people.
The role will involve:
Supporting students in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
Supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
Encouraging student engagement and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
