Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Join a vibrant SEMH school in Yeovil as a full-time Teaching Assistant and make a real difference to the lives of students. In this role, you will support students with SEMH needs to engage with learning, develop confidence and grow their social and emotional skills in a supportive environment.
Role Details:
• Location: Yeovil
• Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
• Pay: £14.15 to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs in lessons and small groups
• Help students access learning and complete tasks successfully
• Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour and social interaction
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO and support staff to deliver personalised strategies
• Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem
Requirements:
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs
• Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to helping students thrive academically and socially
