Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Chard. This Teaching Assistant role supports pupils who need extra help with learning, behaviour, social skills, and emotional development. Role Details: • Location: Chard • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm • Full-time and part-time • Pay: £90–95 per day Key Responsibilities: • Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs • Help pupils access lessons and complete classroom tasks • Assist with behaviour management and building self-confidence • Encourage independence, emotional regulation, and positive social skills • Work closely with teachers and staff to deliver individual support plans Requirements: • Experience working in a primary school or SEND setting • Patient, flexible, and nurturing approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Passion for supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and emotional development This Teaching Assistant role in Chard is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in a primary school.
