Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: SEND School, Bagshot, Surrey
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: From £90 per day
Age Range: 7–16 years (Key Stages 2–4)
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Our SEND school in Bagshot, Surrey provides specialist support for children with an autism spectrum condition in an environment designed to best meet their learning needs. We are a warm, welcoming and nurturing setting supporting up to 45 pupils across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, with small, carefully structured classes that allow every child to be truly seen, heard and supported.
We work with children who may have been out of education for a significant period of time or who have had negative experiences in previous placements. Our focus is on helping them re-engage positively with learning, rebuild confidence, and achieve their full potential. Our specially designed environment supports pupils’ sensory needs and creates the ideal setting for meaningful progress.
We are looking for a committed, compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team as soon as possible.
What you’ll do
-Support the delivery of personalised learning for pupils aged 7–16
-Work closely with teachers and therapists to provide consistent, high-quality support
-Contribute to a calm, safe and structured learning environment
-Support pupils in developing independence, communication and social skills
-Use positive, supportive strategies to help with behaviour regulation
-Engage pupils in learning activities adapted to their individual sensory profiles
-Build trusting relationships with children who may have experienced challenges or interruptions in their education

-Strong communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach
-Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
-Experience in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential—full training provided
