Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, Bridport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £89 – £95 per day
Start Date: September
Axcis Education is pleased to be supporting a friendly primary school in Bridport, Dorset, with an exciting opportunity for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and eager to help children reach their full potential. Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) – either professionally or personally – would be an advantage, but the key requirement is a genuine passion for supporting young learners. The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. A willingness to learn new skills, take on feedback, and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team is essential.
The role:
Offering individual support to pupils to help them engage with lessons and wider school life.
Adapting learning activities to suit a variety of needs and encouraging progress in both academic and personal development.
Working in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO to put learning strategies into practice.
Tracking pupil progress, celebrating achievements, and contributing to an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
