Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Reception)

Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early learning journey? We are looking for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Reception class this September, providing tailored support to a child with additional needs within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
About the Role:
This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a child's life by offering individualised support that promotes confidence, communication, and progress. The position may involve personal care and will require a compassionate, hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Reception-aged child with additional needs
Assist with learning and developmental activities in line with the EYFS framework
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow and adapt individual support plans
Support personal care needs with sensitivity and dignity, ensuring the child feels safe and respected
Create a positive and inclusive environment that supports the child’s emotional and social development
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in an EYFS or Reception setting is essential
A sound understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum
Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
A nurturing, patient, and empathetic attitude
Willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and personal care
