Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A highly regarded independent all-girls secondary school in Wimbledon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from 1st September. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, during term time.
The successful candidate will primarily support students within the mainstream classroom environment, with a particular focus on providing 1:1 support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language needs. While the role is embedded in a mainstream setting, experience and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within a school setting
Proven background in supporting students with SEN, particularly ASD and speech and language challenges
A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
A professional, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
