Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant – High School (L36) Start Date: September Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? A welcoming and forward-thinking high school in L36 is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September, providing vital support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. About the Role: Location: L36 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Contract: Full-time, long-term As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students on a 1:1 and small group basis to: Support emotional regulation and social development Encourage positive behaviour through proven strategies Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure each student thrives What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting students with SEMH, autism, or behavioural challenges Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping young people succeed A DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one with our guidance What You’ll Gain: The chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school community A long-term role with opportunities for professional development A rewarding experience where your contribution genuinely matters If you're ready to make a difference and start a fulfilling new role this September, we’d love to hear from you.
