Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
All-Through Special Needs School | South Harrow
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a supportive, specialist setting?
A welcoming and inclusive all-through Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in South Harrow is looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed team supporting students with diverse and complex needs.
You will be working with pupils who are primarily learning at Key Stage 1 level, many of whom have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role involves supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, assisting teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities, and helping pupils engage with lessons and daily routines. You will also play a key part in implementing behaviour strategies, emotional regulation plans, and contributing to a safe, nurturing learning environment. Where necessary, support with personal care will be required.
We are looking for candidates with experience supporting children with ASD and SEMH, ideally in a primary or early years setting. A CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills along with a genuine commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
This is a full-time, term-time only position, running Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Please note that part-time applications cannot be considered.
In return, you’ll join a collaborative and experienced SEN team, benefit from excellent facilities and structured learning environments, and access ongoing professional development. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
