Location: Ealing, Greenford Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, long term role Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role Axcis Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Primary Special Needs School in Ealing, Greenford. This full-time position offers an opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs, making a significant impact on their educational journey. As a teaching assistant, you will collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized learning plans, utilising communication tools such as PECS and Makaton. Your role will be pivotal in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and development. Key Responsibilities -Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. -Utilize PECS and Makaton to enhance communication and engagement. -Assist pupils with personal care tasks when required. -Implement and adapt individual learning strategies in collaboration with the teaching team. -Foster a supportive, structured, and positive learning atmosphere. -Monitor and document student progress, contributing to review meetings and planning. Requirements -Experience working with children with Autism or a strong background in Early Years Foundation Stage. -Proficiency in PECS and knowledge of Makaton communication methods. -Willingness and ability to provide personal care support. -A kind, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students. -Full-time availability from Monday to Friday. -A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
