Our client, an all-boys primary school based in Templecombe, Somerset, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join their team, specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health support. As a Teaching Assistant within this vibrant school, you will play a crucial role in the lives of students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. Key Responsibilities: - Provide consistent and tailored SEMH support to students, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. - Assist with the planning and implementation of individual education programmes for students with additional needs. - Facilitate a nurturing and structured learning environment that enables students to feel secure and develop their emotional resilience. - Employ a range of strategies to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively. - Collaborate with teachers to monitor and support student's progress and wellbeing. - Actively engage with students to encourage participation and enhance their learning experience. - Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, and maintain a communicative approach. - Assist with the creation and maintenance of a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
