Axcis Education is recruiting confident and motivated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in a large, mainstream secondary school in Knowsley. The school prides itself on a strong inclusive ethos, excellent resources, and a supportive team environment where staff are encouraged to grow and succeed.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who need extra support—helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your Role
You will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assist with the KS3 curriculum, encouraging engagement and progress
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a structured learning environment
•Build strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence, independence, and resilience

• Have experience supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
• Bring a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning support
• Can act as a positive role model, inspiring pupils to achieve their potential
• Are committed to supporting personal, social, and emotional development
Requirements
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Previous experience in a school, education, or care setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
•A passion for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
