About the Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to support secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education, develop confidence, and build positive relationships. The school supports students with a variety of needs, including: • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • ADHD • Learning difficulties • Behavioural and emotional needs You will provide classroom support, help students regulate their emotions, encourage positive behaviour, and support pupils in reaching their academic and personal goals. Due to the nature of the role, some pupils may display challenging behaviour, so experience with behaviour management, de-escalation strategies, and building trusting relationships would be highly beneficial.
