Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Moderate to Sever
A secondary school in Peckham (SE15) is looking for a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role involves supporting students with moderate to severe learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with personal care, and work closely with teaching staff to help students thrive both academically and personally. Personal care will be required in most cases. The school is welcoming and inclusive, offering a supportive environment for both students and staff. Key Details: • Location: Peckham (SE15) • Hours: 08:30 AM – 4:30PM, Monday to Friday (Term-time only) • Pay: £13.69 per hour (Paid weekly) • Start Date: September 2025 • Role: Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Requirements: • Enhanced DBS (Child and Adult) registered on the Update Service • Previous experience in care, SEND, or a similar role is essential • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities • Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach • Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday If you are passionate about making a difference and supporting students with additional needs, please respond to this email with your CV.
