Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Manchester
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Axcis Education is working with a range of fantastic primary and secondary schools across Manchester, and we’re on the lookout for calm, caring and proactive teaching assistants to join our team.
Whether your background is in care, youth work, education or community support, your experience working with children and young people is what matters most to us.
We’re especially keen to hear from individuals who:
- Have experience supporting children or young people in schools, care or similar settings
- Are confident working with behaviour management and understand the importance of consistency
- Are adaptable, enthusiastic and ready to get stuck in with a variety of tasks – from learning support to classroom routines
- Being able to support EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners in multilingual and multicultural environments is an advantage
What the role includes:
- Helping pupils engage with lessons and build confidence in their learning
- Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, both in class and during interventions
- Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation where needed
- Creating a calm, inclusive environment that supports individual needs
- Being a reliable extra pair of hands for the teacher and the class
