Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Rochdale & Oldham)
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £100.00 - £140 PAYE
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary schools in Rochdale and Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Working in partnership with the Class Teacher and fellow Teaching Assistants, the successful candidate will:
• Support learners in small groups and provide 1:1 support where needed
• On occasions, deliver whole class cover, delivering lessons to a small class of learners with SEMH needs
• Help create a nurturing and positive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement and emotional wellbeing
• Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies
Requirements:
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional learning needs
• A patient, caring and resilient attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
