Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to join our team and help deliver a nurturing learning environment for both SEN and mainstream pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, both in class and through targeted interventions.
• Assist class teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils' academic, emotional, and social development.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, SENCO, parents, and external professionals.
• Contribute to the creation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN and challenging behaviour
• A positive, flexible, and empathetic attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for education and inclusion.
