Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism Resourced Provision (ARP) Location: Ealing, West London (Mainstream Primary School) Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement Start Date: September About the Role: Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the Autism Resourced Provision (ARP) in a supportive mainstream primary school in Ealing. You’ll be working with Upper Key Stage 2 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a range of additional special educational needs (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact by helping children access learning through a structured, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: -Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism and complex needs -Assist in delivering structured lessons and communication strategies, such as Colourful Semantics -Help implement and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) -Support pupils with challenging behaviours, including incidents such as spitting, kicking, or swearing, using consistent behaviour management strategies -Provide personal care support if required -Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment -Work collaboratively with the class teacher, ARP staff, and external professionals Requirements: -Previous experience supporting children with Autism and SEND in a school setting -Comfortable managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner -Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or Colourful Semantics is highly desirable -Kind, patient, and adaptable approach -Must have a valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service Why Join This School?
