Job Title: Teacher - Pupil Referral Unit Location: Yeovil, Somerset Salary: £180 - £200 per day Contract Type: Full-Time We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Secondary School Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Yeovil, Somerset. The ideal Teacher will be passionate about teaching and have a proven track record in delivering high-quality education to secondary students. The desired Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young individuals and contribute significantly to their academic and social development. Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to the varying educational needs of students. - Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and maintain a positive learning environment. - Assess and record students' progress, prepare them for examinations, and provide constructive feedback. - Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet curriculum objectives and educational standards. - Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other stakeholders to support and enhance students' learning experiences. - Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students are included. - Manage resources effectively to enrich the educational environment and enhance learning outcomes. - Keep up-to-date with changes and developments in the curriculum, as well as best teaching practices. Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Experience teaching in a secondary education environment. - Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and educational best practices. - Excellent behaviour management skills. - Confident in planning, team teaching, and implementing educational strategies. - Ability to create a stimulating learning environment that fosters learning and encourages curiosity. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents. - Commitment to continued professional development.
