Job Title: Teacher - SEN
Experienced Special Needs Teacher Wanted – All-Through SEN School – South Harrow
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Needs Teacher to join our dedicated team at an all-through SEN school in South Harrow, starting September.
Position: Full-Time SEN Teacher
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September
Location: South Harrow
About the Role:
You will be working closely with a small group of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – verbal and non-verbal
Challenging behaviour
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Down’s Syndrome
Your role will primarily focus on supporting children in Key Stage 1, so previous experience in this phase is essential.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with children with SEN
Strong understanding of ASD, SEMH, and Down’s Syndrome
Experience in managing challenging behaviour with a calm and positive approach
Previous teaching experience in Key Stage 1
Passionate, patient, and resilient
