Support Staff SEMH
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Hours: 08:30 AM – 4pm PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: From £94 per day
Are you a compassionate and patient individual with experience in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? A PRU in Hillingdon is seeking dedicated support staff to join their skilled and caring team. The PRU focuses on placing young people at the heart of their approach, tailoring learning to meet the individual needs of each student. With a strong team of staff, supportive management, and a holistic approach, they create a positive and nurturing environment for their students.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist students with both academic and emotional development.
-Implement strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour and maintain a safe learning space.
-Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans.
-Maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall progress of the students.
-Provide one-on-one support to a designated student, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Requirements:
-An Enhanced DBS on the update service
-Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
-De-escalation skills are highly desirable.
-Relevant qualifications or training are advantageous but not essential.
-Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and promote positive outcomes.
