Job Title: Specialist ASC Teaching Assistant - Lozells
Axcis Education are urgently recruiting for an Autism experienced teaching assistant, to work within a primary ASC school in Lozells. Our client is a wonderful school with dedicated resources which meet the needs of pupils along with visual aids & pen picture profiles.
As a teaching assistant you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and supporting pupils where required as well as assisting with meal times and transport at times. All pupils have an EHCP of ASC but many have associated needs which may present challenging behaviour, anxiety or distress. With this in mind we are looking for someone who has experience or an understanding of SEND
The roles we have available are either full or part time, short or long term and working hours are 8:30am till 3:30pm. The school has good local transport links as well as good parking facilities for candidates who drive. Additional training opportunities such as team teach are also available to all candidates.

" NVQ 3 or equivalent is desirable but not essential
