Special Needs Teaching Assistant -Full-Time I am excited to be working alongside a Secondary school in Taunton that are currently looking for a full-time teaching assistant to work Monday to Friday term time. Your role as a teaching assistant is to provide support to the pupil both inside and outside the classroom environment. You will also need to plan sessions with small groups of children to help support them in their schoolwork, such as Maths and English. For this role you will need to have experience, ideally in a SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) school, but happy to look at applicants with different SEND experience. You will need enthusiasm for making a difference and an overall positive outlook, you will need to be resilient as the role can involve working with challenging behaviour.
