SLD & Autism Teaching Assistant – Henley-in-Arden Location: Henley-in-Arden Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week Axcis Education is working with a supportive secondary school in Henley-in-Arden to recruit a Teaching Assistant for students with autism and severe learning difficulties (SLD). This role is suited to those with care, special school, or complex needs experience looking to make a long-term difference. The Role: You will: • Support learners with complex needs in a structured classroom environment. • Provide tailored support for engagement, communication, and personal development. • Implement sensory activities and routines to aid regulation and focus. • Support with personal care where required. • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the SENCO. About You: • Experience with complex learning needs, autism, or personal care. • Calm, committed, and positive in approach. • Comfortable working with non-verbal students and assistive communication. • A strong team player who values inclusive education.
