SENDCo – Part-Time (Option for Full-Time with Teaching) – Leicester (LE3) Location: Leicester (LE3) Contract Type: Part-time (1–2 days) or Full-time with teaching Salary: £180 – £230 per day We are currently recruiting for a part-time SENDCo to join a supportive alternative provision in the Leicester (LE3) area. This position offers flexibility – from 1 to 2 days per week as SENDCo only, or a full-time post for candidates able to teach Functional Skills English or Maths alongside SEND responsibilities. The Role: You will: • Oversee EHCP implementation, annual reviews, and individual SEND support plans. • Lead the SEND strategy and interventions across a small setting with high needs. • Work alongside external agencies and families to ensure inclusive practice. • Provide specialist teaching in Maths or English Functional Skills (if full-time). • Develop staff understanding of SEND through coaching and CPD. About You: • Qualified teacher with SENDCo accreditation or equivalent experience. • Deep understanding of SEND within SEMH/alternative provision contexts. • Confident managing compliance and delivering pupil-centred plans. • Comfortable teaching Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2) is a strong advantage. • Organised, collaborative, and driven to improve SEND outcomes.
