London Hours:?Monday?–?Friday,?8:00?am?–?3:30?pm (Full-time) Salary:?Paid to scale (see school’s pay scale policy) About the Role Our school is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across key stage 3–5. Working closely with class teachers and the SEND coordinator, you will create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that enables every student to thrive. Key Responsibilities • Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance in classroom activities, ensuring access to the curriculum. • Implement individualized support plans, including behaviour strategies, sensory adaptations, and assistive technology. • Support the development of independent living, communication, and social skills. • Monitor progress, record observations, and report concerns to the SENCO. • Assist in preparing classroom resources, adapting materials, and setting up assistive devices. • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the multidisciplinary team. • Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and school events. Essential Requirements • Experience supporting children with SEND (preferably in a mainstream setting). • Relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Children with SEN, or equivalent). • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and commitment to inclusion. • Ability to follow safeguarding and data protection policies. • Basic ICT competence; familiarity with assistive technologies is an advantage.
