Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Reading Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £89 per day We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Reading. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including those requiring personal care, within a safe and inclusive learning environment. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with daily learning activities and classroom tasks Provide personal care, including changing and toileting where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Assist in delivering tailored learning programmes under the direction of teaching staff Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and act as a strong role model Help maintain a structured, safe, and nurturing environment for all learners About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children with SEND, including personal care needs Is patient, caring, and approachable Brings energy and resilience, with the ability to stay active throughout the school day Can confidently set boundaries while encouraging pupil independence Has strong communication skills and works well within a team This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a genuine difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.
