Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant | Chorley area | from £89 per day | Full-time and Part-time

Axcis are a specialist SEND education agency that are currently recruiting teaching assistants with special educational needs experience to support children and young people across the Chorley area. We are looking for a teaching assistant with experience working in an education or care setting and with a range of special educational needs.
In this role you will be supporting in a SEND unit within a mainstream primary school, where you will be working with children on both a 1-1 and group basis. You will be working both within the classroom and through 1-1 work and you will be assisting them in accessing the curriculum to the best of their ability.
What we offer:
• Flexibility to suit your needs - Full-time is preferred but part-time availability can be considered.
• Daily rates starting from £89 per day.
• A range of training courses through the national college for CPD
What you will need:
• An enhanced DBS certificate – if not, we can assist with applying for one.
• A minimum of 6 months working with SEND in an education or care setting (3 months must be in the UK for overseas candidates).
• A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to jump in where needed.
The school is accessible by public transport but candidates who live outside of Chorley will need to be able to reliably commute there either by car or extended public transport links.
