A specialist school in Bolton (BL1) focusing on SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) support is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for the 2025/2026 academic year. Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH and ASD
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources for individual needs
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Prepare learning materials and classroom resources
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff
Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
Knowledge or interest in SEMH and ASD support is an advantage
Commitment to helping children reach their full potential
