Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Sutton, Surrey Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Full Time Pay: Paid to scale Start date: Monday 1st September We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team in the heart of Surrey. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of children with varying needs. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including those with ASD, ADHD, and physical disabilities, ensuring their daily learning experience is engaging and accessible. • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to implement individualized learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of each student. • Foster a nurturing and safe learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential. • Assist with the development of social skills and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and targeted support strategies. • Monitor student progress and participate in review meetings, contributing valuable insights into the effectiveness of learning approaches and student well-being. • Facilitate the inclusion of SEND pupils in all classroom activities and support their integration with peers. • Liaise with parents, guardians, and professionals to provide updates and strategies for supporting the child's learning and development at home.
