Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Join Our Team: SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Secondary (Preston)
Are you driven to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? We're seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated secondary team in Preston.?
This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students aged 11 to 16 with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning, regulate emotions, and develop essential life skills. You’ll work closely with experienced staff to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment both in and out of the classroom.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes.
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• A calm, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
• Passion for helping students overcome barriers and succeed.
