SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Taunton, TA4 Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go Permanent About the Role: Axcis Education is collaborating with a dynamic middle school in Taunton, TA4, to recruit a dedicated full time Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This inclusive school provides a nurturing environment, encouraging both academic and personal development. Requirements: Experience supporting children with SEMH or SEND is highly desirable. Patient, adaptable, and empathetic, with a proactive attitude. Strong teamwork and communication skills to liaise with staff and support children effectively. Capable of managing challenging behaviour positively and calmly. Who We’re Looking For: Candidates with experience in the following are encouraged to apply: Nurseries, colleges, youth clubs, or residential settings. Care homes or personal SEND experience. Graduates in sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama. Additional Information: Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Pay: £83.40 per day.
