Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Litherland
Salary: £93 per day, paid weekly
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm
Start Date: First week of September
Axcis Education are working with a special school in Litherland that is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with daily activities and lesson preparation
Provide support to individual students and small groups, catering to their specific needs
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Support children aged 4 - 16 years old with a range of SEND, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and severe learning difficulties (SLD)
Participate in school events and activities
Offer feedback to teachers on student progress and development
Qualifications:
Experience in the care, youth, or support work sectors is highly encouraged
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for helping children learn and grow
Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude
Previous experience working with children with SEND is advantageous but not required
