Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, Wednesbury
At Axcis, we have partnered with an amazing, family orientated SEND school setting in the Wednesbury area. You will be working children who are severely autistic and therefore we are seeking to appoint several teaching assistants to work either full-time or on a part-time basis alongside your commitments on set days.
You will need to be a patient, caring, determined person with a real desire to make the difference to the lives of young people locally.
You will need to have prior experience supporting young people or adults who have SEND needs. Previous experience supporting individuals who are severely autistic &/or non-verbal would be highly beneficial.
You will be working in a set classroom each day, working with around 8 children alongside a teacher and another TA. Each classroom is fit for purpose & created with the students needs in mind, allowing for designated quiet & sensory spaces. The school sees their staff as a family and even have a therapy dog who is fantastic with the students, helping them regulate.
The school is only term-time only on Monday to Friday, 8:30 until 3:15.
You will be paid on a weekly basis, pay starts from £95.29 per day, but this will be higher for the right candidate, enabling you to be paid in-line with your experience &/or qualifications.
