Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday (early finish on Fridays)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Secondary School ARP in Barnet (EN4). This is a rewarding full-time role supporting students with Autism in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with ASD
Support students’ learning, emotional regulation, and social development
Deliver personal care where required, with dignity and sensitivity
Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Support behaviour management strategies and EHCP targets
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Essential Requirements
Proven experience working with students with ASD
Willingness and ability to carry out personal care
Experience in a secondary school or SEN setting (preferred)
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
