Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), some of whom are non-verbal and require support with personal care.
The Role:
You will:
• Support children with SLD, communication needs, and sensory profiles
• Use symbols, switches, or AAC to aid understanding
• Assist with hoisting, feeding, and toileting routines (training provided)
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
About You:
• Previous experience in a specialist or care setting
• Willingness to provide personal care and engage with sensory approaches
• Team player who is adaptable and compassionate
• Comfortable working with pupils with profound or complex needs
