Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in Warwick to support a primary pupil with autism and significant speech and language needs. This is a long-term 1:1 role working closely with teaching staff and speech therapists.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with autism and SLCN.
• Implement speech and language programmes set by therapists.
• Use communication tools such as PECS, visual timetables, or Makaton.
• Encourage peer interaction and confidence in communication.
• Help build a structured, consistent classroom environment.
About You:
• Experience working with autism and speech/language needs.
• Strong communication and modelling skills.
• Calm, patient, and able to build trust quickly.
• Knowledge of SALT strategies is an advantage.
