The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, delivering tailored support and high-quality teaching to ensure progress and inclusion across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH).
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Support staff with strategies for inclusive classroom practice.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience working with primary-aged children with SEND.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND frameworks.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Desirable:
SEN qualification or additional training in SEND.
Experience working within a mainstream primary setting or specialist provision.
