Job Title: SEND TA (full-time) in Tilehurst
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children with a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, PMLD, Complex Needs and challenging behaviours, in a school in Tilehurst. The ideal candidate will bring a background in working with individuals with SEND, whether with children or adults, and a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
This is a full-time position, running Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, where you’ll provide focused, one-on-one support to students across a range of age groups, from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through Key Stages 1 to 4. The role requires someone who can implement effective strategies to manage and support children with diverse SEND requirements. The pay rate starts at £93.48 per day (umbrella).
Applicants should have experience working with individuals with SEND and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive, supportive relationships with the children. The role also involves providing personalised, one-on-one or small-group support tailored to each student’s needs, and, where necessary, delivering personal care.
