Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and nurturing specialist setting for an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The Role You'll be working closely with children in an Early Years setting who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), providing tailored support both in the classroom and through play-based learning. Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in helping children achieve their individual milestones. Responsibilities include: Supporting children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, developmental delay and complex learning needs. Delivering engaging, play-based activities that encourage learning and development. Working alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans. Promoting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation. Assisting with personal care where required. Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment where every child can flourish. What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from candidates who: Have experience working with young children, particularly within Early Years or SEND. Are patient, compassionate and resilient. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. Are proactive, flexible and eager to learn. Hold a relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential). Have experience supporting children with autism or additional needs (advantageous).
