A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wednesbury is looking for a kind, experienced, and reliable SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a one-to-one support role, working closely with a child who needs consistent, personalised support to help them thrive at school.
We’re looking for someone who truly cares, understands the challenges some pupils face, and is ready to be a steady, encouraging presence every day.
What the role involves:
• Providing one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs throughout the school day
• Supporting learning activities and helping the child access the curriculum in a way that works for them
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow the pupil’s support plan
• Encouraging emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and social development
• Helping create a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
What we're looking for:
• Classroom experience is a must – we’re looking for someone who’s already supported children in a school setting
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally one-to-one
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with young people
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
This is a long-term role, so we’re looking for someone who’s ready to make a real commitment—not just to the school, but to the pupil you'll be supporting every day.
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a lasting difference and be part of a supportive school team, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your CV today – we look forward to learning more about you.
