SEND Teaching Assistant

Role Details:
Location: Dorchester
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (full-time)
Pay: £85–£95 per day
Requirement: Must hold a full driving licence
About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an important part of a supportive school community where every child is encouraged to thrive. You’ll help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND/SEMH needs
Assisting with learning activities while ensuring pupils’ well-being and engagement
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting social and emotional growth
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff to create an inclusive classroom experience
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, or Youth Worker (desirable but not essential)
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient approach
