A well-respected Special Needs School in Brent is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Verbal Behaviour Assistant to join our team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Autism and severe learning difficulties.
In this role, you will support the implementation of Verbal Behaviour (VB) strategies, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of teachers and therapists. Your focus will be on helping students develop essential communication and social skills, adapting learning approaches to suit individual needs, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver VB interventions under professional guidance
Support students with Autism and complex needs in achieving communication goals
Monitor progress and contribute to student assessments
Collaborate with teaching and therapy staff to ensure effective support strategies
About You:
Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach
Prior experience working with children with Autism and severe learning difficulties
Interest in Verbal Behaviour and ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) principles
Full-time availability from September is essential
