Job Title: SEN Teacher
SEN Teacher – Autism & Complex Needs
Start Dates: Immediate or September 2025
Location: All-Through Special Needs School - Brent
Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, child-centred environment? A thriving all-through special needs school is seeking skilled teachers to join their dedicated team, with opportunities available for both an immediate start and from September.
This full-time position involves teaching a small, mixed Year 6 and 7 class of eight pupils, all of whom have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional complex learning needs. The pupils are working towards Key Stage 1 curriculum goals and benefit from a highly structured and nurturing environment that integrates movement and sensory learning throughout the school day.
You will be supported by a dedicated tutor and four experienced teaching assistants, ensuring a strong staff-to-student ratio and consistent 1:1 support. Many of the students use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods, including symbol boards, Makaton, and VOCA devices. The school values creativity, communication, and connection, with a whole-school ethos rooted in the belief that every child deserves to "Love, Learn, Laugh."
We are looking for a teacher who is confident in working with children with ASC and complex needs, or who is eager to develop their skills further in this area. Experience with or a willingness to learn AAC approaches is essential. You should bring a flexible, imaginative, and child-centred approach to learning, and be confident leading a team of support staff to create a consistent and positive classroom culture.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate and forward-thinking team in a setting that celebrates every learner’s progress, no matter how small.
Trial days and interviews are taking place now. Early applications are encouraged, and positions are available for both immediate and September 2025 start dates.
If you are ready to take the next step in your SEN teaching career, apply today to join a school where every day is purposeful and every child is valued.
