Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Mon–Fri | 8:30am–3:30pm | £89/day
Are you a high-energy, resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? A special school in Slough is seeking a dedicated SEND TA to support children in a PRU setting. This role involves working with pupils with very challenging behaviour, supporting their SEMH needs, and being a positive role model.
What You’ll Do
Support pupils with SEMH and complex behavioural needs
Work on your feet for much of the day in a busy, high-energy environment
Establish clear boundaries while building positive relationships
Act as a strong role model and mentor for young people
Assist teaching staff with delivering personalised learning and support
About You
Experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs
Confident, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviour
High energy and physically resilient
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Passionate about making a difference in a special school setting
