Job Title: SEMH Teacher
SEMH Teacher – Kingston, London Location: Kingston, London Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00?am – 3:30?pm Salary: Paid to scale About the role We are seeking an experienced, compassionate SEMH Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Kingston. You will deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that meets the social, emotional, and mental health needs of our pupils, fostering resilience, confidence, and academic progress. Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver and assess engaging SEMH-focused lessons across KS2-KS4. • Develop and implement individualized support plans, using evidence-based interventions. • Collaborate with class teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to student wellbeing. • Lead small-group and one-to-one sessions addressing anxiety, behaviour regulation, and emotional literacy. • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and produce timely reports for parents and senior staff. • Contribute to whole-school SEL initiatives, staff training, and policy development. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of 2?years teaching experience. • Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH difficulties. • Strong knowledge of current SEMH frameworks, safeguarding, and safeguarding legislation. • Excellent communication, organisational, and reflective practice skills. Desirable • Post-graduate qualification in Psychology, Special Educational Needs, or related field. • Training in CBT, REACT, or other therapeutic approaches.
